Coin, Gold & Silver Buyer for Plano, TX
Plano sits about 23 minutes down US 75 from the McKinney square. Book a weekday time and we will sort, test and weigh your coins, gold and silver with you, however much of it there is.
Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, by appointment
Our base is McKinney, not Plano. We have no Plano office. Plano sellers can have us come to the house, meet us at their bank, or book a time at our private McKinney office, whose address we pass along by phone once you are booked.
McKinney to Plano
Central Expressway ties the two cities together, with Allen in between. It is the road we take to reach a Plano living room, and the one you would take north if you would rather come to us.
- From the McKinney square
- about 16.1 miles
- Drive time
- about 23 minutes
US 75 south through Allen and on into Plano.
These times are estimates with no traffic. Weekday rush on US 75 can add to them.
Big collections are easier at home
Plano is the largest city on our list, and some of the biggest lots we hear about are there. A home appointment suits them for three reasons.
Nothing to pack or load
A few hundred ounces of silver weighs more than most people expect. If we come to you, the boxes stay on the floor where they already sit.
Room to spread out
A dining table gives us space to lay a collection out in groups, so you can see what each pile is before anyone talks about an offer.
Keep what you like
Decide to hold on to a proof set or a favorite coin? It simply goes back in the cabinet. There is no second trip and nothing to carry home.
Booking from Plano
A quick call gets it started. Describe what you have and where you want to meet, and we will settle on a weekday time.
What happens on the day
The order below holds for a single coin or a roomful. Larger Plano lots simply spend longer on the sorting step.
-
Tell us the size of it
Call or use the form and give us a rough picture: three albums, a safe full of tubes, a box nobody has opened in years.
-
We pick a weekday together
Most Plano sellers choose their own home. A bank branch with a private room works too, as does our McKinney office.
-
Sorting at your table
Big lots get sorted into groups first: bullion, gold coins, silver change, collector pieces. Then each group is tested and weighed while you watch.
-
An offer, then your call
You hear what we would pay for each group. Sell the whole lot, part of it or nothing at all.
- Every weighing happens in front of you
- Photo ID needed at the meeting
- Walk away anytime, no hard feelings
- Appointments only, never a queue
The kind of lot Plano sellers have
Four groups that come up again and again. Each card opens a page with more detail.
-
Binders and coin albums
Shelves of blue folders, slab boxes and proof sets built up over decades. We go album by album at your table and keep each page in order.
-
Stacks of bullion
Silver bars, rounds in tubes and gold bars from any refiner. Heavy lots are the main reason Plano sellers ask us to come to them.
-
Gold coins
Eagles, Buffalos, Maple Leafs, Krugerrands and older U.S. gold pieces. Please keep them in the original capsules while we look.
-
Old silver change
Rolls and bags of dimes, quarters and halves from 1964 and earlier, plus Morgan and Peace dollars mixed in with them.
Mixed in some gold jewelry? Our gold page covers rings and chains as well as coins. If the collection is part of an estate, read how we work with families before you call.
Plano sellers ask
Is there an office in Plano?
No. We are a McKinney business with one private office, in McKinney. Plano sellers usually have us drive down US 75 to their house or meet them at a bank, and anyone who prefers to come north can book a time at the office. We give that address by phone after the appointment is set.
My collection fills several boxes. Will you still come to Plano?
Yes, and a large collection is exactly when a home appointment makes most sense. Tell us roughly how much there is when you call so we can set aside enough of the day for it.
Can my brother join from out of town?
Of course. Many Plano collections belong to a whole family. Anyone you want can sit in at the table, and if someone cannot be there in person, you are welcome to have them on the phone while we work.
